Early OCD or Child Prodigy???

At any given time, on any give day, at any given location in my home you can find random toys, utensils and other household items lined up in odd and very humorous ways.  Since my boy was about 15 months old, he has had a weird obsession with lining up things.  When he does it with his trucks, cars, and trains I don't think much about it because that is the natural flow of traffic....a line.  But what grabs my attention is the other random items he lines up.  My husband thinks he may be trying to tell us something with these lines (he has seen one too many sci fi films).  I am not sure what I think about it, I just think it is cute :)  The child makes messes, but I must give him credit, they are organized messes.  Take a look for yourself:

What do you think?  Should I be worried? :)

Get your grub on!

On Sunday the 6th, Harper had her first experience with solid food.  The puree of choice?  Sweet potatoes!

Harper's first encounter with a bib...she was not quite sure what to make of it.

After bite #1.  As you can see from the picture above, baby girl was processing the entire situation.  After a quick assessment, she was ready for bite #2....

Yup, she is diggin it!

"Hey Momma, why have you been holding out on me all this time??  This stuff is goooooood"

Going in for the kill.....
"Enough talk.  Give me some more!"

Even Harrison got in on the action.  I am sure many of you would frown upon me for doing this, but yes, my two year old fed his sister.  And for the record, they both loved it!!

5 Month Comparison

Harrison at 5 months

Harper at 5 months.

It is funny how I used to think Harrison was so chunky.  This little girl has holds the "Most Rolly Polly"  title in the Wade household :)

Harper 5 Months

Harper is 5 months old and I can not believe how fast time is going by.  My little girl is now sitting up (with lots of support) and rocking back and forth on her hands and knees.  She can roll anywhere her little heart desires.  She has started solid foods and is loving every bite!!  She has the most pleasant little disposition and is a total joy (unless it is past feeding time :).  She is changing on a daily basis, but one thing remains the same....the child is a chunk.  I love her little rolls.  Every single one of them!  She is wearing 6-9 month clothes and filling them out very nicely.  We may very soon graduate to 9-12!  At her last doctor's appointment (at 4 months) she weighed in at an even 16 pounds.  Needless to say, she is a healthy girl!  She is still a great sleeper, although I think she may be teething so I am not sure how long my luck will last.  To say the little girl adores her big brother is an understatement.  I think she may crawl a lot earlier than her brother just so that she can try and keep up with him.  She has a contagious laugh and her smile can melt the coldest of hearts....At least in my opinion :)  She gives her daddy squeals and drooly smiles, but I have to say right now she is a momma's girl.  I love how she loves me to cuddle her, sing to her, and make faces at her.  Nursing has gotten a little difficult as she likes to take her time and smile at me.  At times I soak it in and smile back, talking all kinds sweet talk to her.  But I'm not goingn to lie, there are times when I have so much to do that I just want to feed her and move on to the next chore.  I know that in a few months, I will miss those little moments, so I am working on my attitude and trying to soak in each moment.  Like her brother, she loves momma's hair.  I know it sounds obsessive (and maybe I am), but I miss her when she is not with me.  She absolutely makes my life feel complete.  She is perfect.

Best Friends For Too Long?!?

Taylor and I showed up at a wedding Saturday night dressed like this.....

Think we've been friends for too long??  :)

Happy Birthday to my Mommy!!

Happy Birthday to the best mother a daughter could ask for.  She has loved me, taught me, led by example, and been there for me at all hours of every day to help me figure out how to be a mommy.  I love her more than any blog post could convey.  Thank you Mom, for EVERYTHING!!!  And, if I do say so myself....You are one hot grandma :)
